I made a a second attempt on my GHQ Marder 1A3s. In an effort to get a better match on the NATO Tricolor Brown, I decided to turn to Tamiya Acrylic colors. For my second attempt, I used XF-68 NATO Brown in place of the XF-10 I used the first time. See photo Below The three vehicles to the left use XF-10 for the brown and the three on the right use XF-68. I am not sure either looks quite right. I am goint to post these to the GHQ Forum and see which people like.

the ones on the right look better due to contrast imo.

I would agree. However, I just can't help but think the brown is still not the right shade. I am still happy with it.. A search on line shows different tints depending on lighting, dust, age and if the tank is wet or not. A point many have pointed out on the GHQ forum.

Look good, I have a bunch in this camouflage that is surplus. I use Model Masters medium Green spray as my base.

Thanks Chris, I think I am going to try medium green or mix a splash of a darker green into the medium green. Not happy with model masters NATO green. Way too dark.
